December, 2019
                    MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Another year is closing and a new one on the dawning!  Only God knows what the future holds, but we do know the uncertainties before us brings some concerns about our nation, our churches, our families and overall well being!   There are so many people around us that are hurting and going through hard times!  Our churches and pastors are for the most part struggling, but praise the Lord, Jesus is still on the throne and He will bring about His Will in all things!  We just need to take a deep seat and hang on and stay faithful to our calling as things unfold in the future!

As for Mary and I, we are doing well, have had a great year, and thanking the Lord for keeping us healthy and having the strength to keep on going!  We have to admit, the days seem to be harder, the miles longer, and the time needed to recover from those long trips seem to take a little longer!  Over all, we are excited and looking forward to a good schedule in 2020.

Our hearts have been touched this year by so many of our friends in the ministry that have died and gone on to be with Jesus!  Touched in two ways, with grief and sorrow as we will miss them so much, but also with joy and gladness knowing they are no longer in this world but with Jesus!!  Our hearts go out to Herman Cramer and Earl Willoughby,  who lost their wives to death this past year.   Also to the families of pastors and former pastors,  Jim Layton, Ed Trottingwolf, Harry Marsh  and Randy McCormack, and John Morgan, who also have gone on before us to Jesus!  Our prayers for their families and loved ones whom have been left behind for a time!

As of this writing, we have a good schedule ahead of us in 2020. Most of our meetings are repeat meetings for which we thank those pastors and churches who continue to use us.  Praise the Lord,  we do have some new places we will be going in 2020, if the Lord allows!  One of those is scheduled in Quartsite, AZ in January, something we have prayed for years to be able to do, but which the Lord had not allowed us to do for various reasons.  Your prayers for us as we travel this winter to that area to do a tent meeting where thousands of people spend the winter in RVs.  Thanks to the Baptist Church there calling and inviting us to come.  As most of you know, we do not call up churches and ask them for meetings, so when we received this call to go, we know it surely is of the Lord!

Our prayer for you is for you to have a great holiday season as we remember Jesus is the Reason for the season and everyone will take time to stop from the busyness of this life and take time to thank God for all He has done!

Before we close this blog page, we just want every one to know that God has so blessed us this past year with being able to have JD and Lucinda Couch to be a part of the work!  We appreciate them both, as well as Bob and Donna Whitchurch and Jeff and Donna Gore for their willingness to work with Mary and I in so many meetings.  Music is so important to a revival meeting, these precious couples are some of the best as far as we are concerned.

God bless and again, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

SCM MAY, 2019

Good morning, afternoon, or evening, which ever it may be!!

We once again find ourselves tardy in posting anything, guess we just get busy doing things and forget!  So, here we are about four months late!

First of all, we really appreciate the phone calls etc from everyone that has contacted us and asked about our well being due to the floods and tornadoes around our area!  We are fine, all is well, and God has certainly had His hand of protection on us!   We have had over 20 inches of rain at our place since the first of May!  About the only damage we have had was the road has washed out four times, and we have rebuilt it four times!

Mary and I have been very busy, for which we thank the Lord!  We are home at this time, getting ready for the Green Country Cowboy Camp meeting the first week of June!  This Sunday we will be preaching at White Oak Baptist Church, White Oak, OK.   At this time, due to several of the highways being closed due to flooding, what would normally be about a 35 mile trip, will be 88 miles unless the water goes down tomorrow!

After the camp meeting we will be doing a tent meeting in Alluwe, Ok.  We ask for you prayers, as this is the church where the pastor Jim Layton, was injured in a Four Wheeler accident and died from the injuries a couple weeks ago.  The church wants to go ahead with the revival services, and we do believe that is what Jim would have wanted.  Again your prayers for the meeting and especially his wife Kathy, and the family!  After that Mary and I will be heading out on our annual trip to Idaho for VBS and Tent Meetings in Wendell, Gooding and Fairfield.

God has blessed us with a good schedule, some weeks are open but that may be good for us to be home a few days in-between the meetings!

We also ask you to please remember our dear friends and co labors in Christ, Jeff and Donna Gore, they lost their travel trailer and had heavy damage to their home and property near Coleman, Texas due to a tornado last week.

We thank each of you and look forward to seeing some of you as we travel the roads for Jesus, may the Lord bless you and keep you safe!  Until the next time,  we will remain......

Sincerely yours in Christ Jesus,

Steve and Mary

SCM NEWS

JANUARY 17, 2019

Well, here we are in the new year, time is moving fast!  It is only a short time until we will get the trailer ready to hit the road once again.   We are looking forward to seeing many of our friends across the country as well as making new ones!

SCM had our annual business meeting last week, a "Chat and Chew Luncheon", where we gathered at First Baptist Church in Nowata for our business meeting and BBQ meal.  It was good, was not sure the weather was going to turn out ok.  We had over 50 show up, despite the cold and wet!  Just north of us 10 miles was snow on the ground, but God covered Nowata and no snow cover, we had just a few flakes fall, but no accumulation.

We will be praying for FBC Hallett, OK this coming Sunday as they have an open house and re-dedication service for the church.  They remodeled and wanted to rededicate the church to the Lord, sure appreciate Pastor Earl Wessell for his leadership there and for all he and Pastsy do for the Lord.

Mary and I want to again thank everyone for their prayers and support.  We always look forward to the winter months, when we can be around our family for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but also look forward to hitting the road again sharing about our wonderful Savior, Jesus Christ.

May the Lord bless each of you and until later, take care and trust the Lord in all things!
