Good Morning Friends!

We want you to know Mary and I are praying for all our family and friends during this time of much difficulty and uncertainty!  Our prayers are for each of us to dwell upon God and His Son Jesus Christ, take time to reflect upon how we can use this to help others in need of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We thank you for all you have done for us, the prayers, support, the opportunities that have been give to us by so many, means so very much.  As we go though these days, let us think on the blessings in these times.

SEVEN POSSIBLE BLESSINGS FROM THE CORONAVIRUS
The Bible tells us:  Ro 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
I realize most people right now are thinking how in the world can anything good come of this horrible sickness and death that is happening in our nation?   Our prayer to Almighty God and His Son Jesus Christ, is thanking Him for this:

1.  Thousands of Babies will be born instead of being killed as abortion is put on hold.

2.    Thousands of lives will be saved because drunks will not be leaving bars and night        clubs, driving home under the influence of liquor.

3.    The God of Sports has been stopped in its track.

4.    Millions of dollars will be available to families because they cannot go to gambling casinos.

5.    Families will find time to sit around the dinner table again instead of going out to restaurants and spending money they do not have.

6.    Many moms and dads will find the lost art of cooking meals for their families, and time to bond with each other as traveling is discouraged.

7.    Christians will find that less activities in the outside world is giving them more time to pray and study God’s Word.  Praying God’s people will find that obedience is better than sacrifice.
As the old saying goes, I do not know what the future holds, but we know who holds the future. We know "Jesus is the Answer for the World Today".

Dear Family and Friends of SCM,

The Bible says in  Pr 29:18,  Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Mary and I have a vision, to use our place as a drive thru Sunrise Service on Easter Sunday, April 12th.   Below is the information.   WE REALIZE MANY WHO READ THIS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND, BUT WE ASK THAT YOU PRAY FOR US AS WE PRAY, PLAN AND PROMOTE THIS EVENT!  Thank you!

DRIVE THRU SUNRISE SERVICE, APRIL 12th.

Mary and I are making our place available on April 12th, for a Sunrise Service!   We understand in the coming days, there can be many changes in the way we can do things. So plans may change.
This will be a Drive Thru Service, in which all coming will remain in their vehicle.   The event will be short, but prayerful a powerful and moving time as we remember the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ! Our plan is to have a FM transmitter to broadcast the service to FM radios in the cars.

Most likely, we will plan on opening the gate to our place at 6:30 AM, April 12th.   The road in will be one way, making a circle, until we finish the service, then it will be one way out.   Our plan is to have everyone parked by 6:45 AM, and the service will start at that time,  and end at 7:00 AM.   The sun rise is at 6:50 AM.   Again, people will stay in their car, and we will be set up with a sound system that should enable everyone to hear.   Hopefully,  the ban on the number of people gathered will be lifted by that time, and if so, we will have chairs set up for those that would like to get out of their cars.  If that comes to pass, for those who wish to leave their car, we will have a parking place for them that will not hinder those who will be driving in and out.  We also plan to have free hot coco and coffee available for anyone that would like to have it.  It will be delivered to your car.  Handling will be done in compliance with rules for doing so.  All caution will be observed to limit any close contact with those attending.

We know that 6:30 AM is early and difficult for many, but we just ask you to remember what Jesus has done for us, and be willing to make that effort to do something in honor to Him!  Lord willing the weather will be good, the sunrise beautiful, and as we sing, pray and read God's Word, He will speak to each of our hearts, giving us comfort, wisdom and some understanding as we go though these difficult times!   May God bless each of you!

Thank you for your prayers and may the Lord bless in all you do for Him!

READ and HEED

READ AND HEED,

  MESSAGE FROM SCM   3/20/2020

We will from time to time be sending out short messages in which we pray you will find a help in this time of confusion surrounding the Coronavirus. It is evident that many of us will have time on our hands and looking for something to occupy that time as we are asked to stay home, and as many churches are not having services for the next few weeks. What could be better than reading God’s Word; the Study of God’s Word; and Praying?    We hope you will read this, study the Scriptures, take heed, and pray! We call it a short Bible Study, something to READ AND HEED!  Read these statements, then take Heed as to what they say!

 1.  God knows what is happening, this has not taken Him by surprise. Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

2. God has warned us through His Word that these days would come.
Mt 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers’ places.

3. From history, we understand mankind will not for the most part heed what God says and does.
Ec 1:9-11  The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was
before us. There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

4. God never sends judgement without first giving a warning. He has warned us through His written Word and the preaching of His Word.
Amos 3:7  Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

5. There are a few who will heed, Are you one of them?
1Ti 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Our prayer is while you have time on your hands, study God’s Word, knowing He is in control, He has a plan, you are in His plan!  We will be glad to try to answer any questions you may have; just send us an email and we will do our best to get back with you soon.
