Dear Pastor, Friends and Churches,

We want to thank you for taking the time to read our message!

By way of this message, Mary and I want to let you know we are so thankful for all the prayers and support we have received concerning our open-heart surgery and recovery!  We were so blessed by so many! We are doing well and keeping busy preaching the Word of God!

The other reason we are sending this is to let you know we have not retired from evangelism!  There has been some who have said they heard we have retired.  We have not, fact is, since the heart surgery we have had some exciting revivals and seen God save many souls and change many lives!  Friends, we are still on the road and loving every minute of it!

If you are considering a revival or special outreach, and would be interested in us coming to help you, please let us know!  You can always look at our web site and see where we are, where we been,  and what dates we have open for meetings!

Again, thank you for your prayers and your time!  We would love to be with you anytime you felt led of God to have us!   Again, thanks for the prayers, and may the Lord bless you greatly!

 REVIVALS ARE WORKING

It is Sunday, March 19, 2023 as we write this blog.  We think back about the last few weeks!  We have just finished two great revival meetings, one in Cleora, OK and the other in Amado, AZ.   The first was a Senior Adult Revival, and the second was a tent meeting!

In both meetings we saw the Lord work!  We saw very good attendance, souls saved, lives changed, and touched.  We saw people baptized, repent, and added to the local churches!  God is moving where people are allowing Him to do so.

We are not sure how many pastors may read this, but want to encourage them if they have not conducted a revival to please pray and about having one.  People are interested, people will attend.  Give them an opportunity in which they may not have had in a while.   In one meeting we had a couple travel many miles to attend.  They said the church in which they attend and have been members for many years, has not had a revival meeting in over 10 years.   One said that when asking why there Church does not have revivals anymore, they were told it was because nobody came but old people.   He said he most likely took the statement wrong, but being a senior adult, he felt like he was called a "nobody"!

The Bible says in Ps 85:6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?   Our prayer is for more pastors and churches to consider the prayers of many people for revival.

SCM  NEWSLETTER FOR DECEMBER 2021

Hello in the Name of Jesus Christ!

As we know, the year 2021 is rapidly coming to a close, and what a year it has been.  God has tremendously blessed us again, with meetings just about every week somewhere!  We have see the Lord save souls, change lives, build churches, give comfort to the hurting and seen those with no hope come to find hope in Jesus!  Thanks be to the Lord for all He has done!

As we grow older each year, we find out bodies not having the strength we once had, and that my friends is something this old man is having a hard time accepting!  LOL!   However we know it is happening and as we travel those roads from meeting to meeting God keeps giving us the ability to keep on going!   Just this past week, while having a conversation with a person, he asked me two questions;   The first was how long will we keep traveling doing evangelism?   The second was when will be know it is time to stop?  This was not the first time we have been asked this, and we have addressed these questions before.  So here today, we would like to address them again!

First, we will go as long as we can, and our health allows is to do so.  We never know what tomorrow holds and in the book of James we are told never say tomorrow we will do this or that because we do not know what tomorrow holds.  We are told to say, if the Lord wills.

Secondly we will know it is time to stop when we no longer have the money to operate and when we no longer have meetings to do.  That may sound strange to some, but let me remind what we have always said concerning the money and the meetings.

First, in all our ministry, we have never asked anyone at anytime for any financial help.   We do not send out letters for fund raising nor asking individuals,  businesses, churches or any organizations for any financial assistance, not ever, never, nada!   We have asked God to provide and He has!  He has used churches as well as individuals to supply us with the finances we need.   We thank those who have giving and are continuing to give.  Certainly it takes money for equipment, fuel, insurance etc, and again, God has always supplied every dime we have ever needed.  We see no need to change the way to do things now, so we will continue to rely on the Lord's method of keeping us going!

Secondly, we have never called up churches, and asked them for meetings.   The closest thing we have done to that is send out from time to time a newsletter to a group of churches sharing with them that we are available for meetings.  Even that we have not done much of in the last few years.   We rely on pastors and churches to call us.   That way we know the meetings are not something we worked up so to speak, but that God has laid on someones heart to call us.   When we book that meeting, we can truthfully say, we feel it was of God.  In all my studying of God's Word we have never read where he told someone to do something, and not supplied to them what was needed to complete the task.  So, as long as we have meetings, we faithfully believe God has given them to us, and He expects us to complete the task.    We call that  "operating by faith".     We do want to make clear, we do not in any way want to condemn any other ministry from fund raising, if that is how God has told them to do it, and if so, they had better do it.  We do not condemn them for calling and asking churches for meetings, or that they will be in the area or something like that to get meetings.    It just is not the way God laid upon our heart to operate.

In the coming year, we have currently 20 confirmed meetings!  Those meetings will take us to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Missouri, Arkansas as well as Idaho. We covet your prayers for Mary and I, as well as the precious teams whom God has put in our paths to help us with music, meals, set ups etc.  For sure without them, we would not be able to do the work!  Again, God has supplied through His people, praise be to His Name.

Thank you for your love, care, prayers and support!  Meanwhile, we pray you had a Very Merry Christmas and you will have a prospers new year!

Hello in the Name of Jesus!

For sure it has been way too long since we wrote!  Maybe as we are getting older we are getting slower!

We will give you a short update as to how things have been going this year!  God has blessed, we have been very busy and with not quite half of the year gone we have already done meetings in Texas, Arizona, Missouri, Arkansas and of course Oklahoma.   In the next few months we will be in Idaho, Colorado, Kansas, then back to Texas, Arizona, Missouri as well as Oklahoma!  God has blessed with decisions for salvation, recommitments, baptisms, prayer and church memberships.  We have been pleased with the turnout at the meetings, and in many cases the turnout has doubled from the first service to later services in the meeting!  It appears many people are over the COVID deal and are ready to get back in church!

There has been some difficulties with weather, in the form of high winds, cold temps, and of course much rain;  rain and more rain!  In all, considering those things, it has been very good!   As always we thank the team members we work with, they are great, always do a fantastic job and are very valuable to the outcome of the meetings.  Those couples who have been helping Mary and I are J.D and Lucinda Couch, Bob and Donna Whitchurch, Jeff and Donna Gore.  Thanks to all of them for a job well done!

As the times get more difficult due to our age, weather, and more directly, the spiritual condition of our nation, we continue to seek God's help and direction in what to do in the future.  For sure the tent meetings are always good, bring more attendees, but are much harder to do.   With our teams helping us with the set up, take down, music, meals and other things we find our selves more indebted to them each year.  Believe me, we just do not drive up to the church walk in, sit down and do nothing until it is our time to minister.  There are hours and hours of preparation and work going into each meeting. With tent meetings, we normally have to arrive a day  before the meeting starts and leave the day after the meeting  ends.   Sometimes, we just do not have much time between meetings.   The commitment our teams make to serve the Lord is to be commended and applauded. We thank them for the sacrifices they make to minister!  May the Lord bless each of them!

If there are any pastors considering using our team this coming year, we would suggest you book us early so we can do the best we can to get the dates you would like.  With tent meetings the spring and fall dates go fast!  We have already had several churches and pastors tell us they want us in 2022, so since we schedule on a first confirmed bases, it would be good to contact us as soon as possible and get the dates confirmed.

In closing, Mary and I pray for all of you who are praying for us, supporting the work and providing the love, care and means to help us continue to minister.  Our special thanks to our home church, First Baptist of Nowata, Oklahoma and our pastor Wayne Clayton for the encouragement, support and prayers given to SCM!

Hope to see you soon!

AUGUST 31, 2020

Howdy in the Name of Jesus!

Again, been too long since we posted anything!   We have been very busy for which we thank the Lord!  Since COVID-19 there has been some schedule adjusting, but so far, we have replaced almost every meeting we had cancelled and even added a meeting or two!  You can notice our schedule is full between now and November.

We have already several meetings scheduled for 2021, and will be adding that page to our web site as soon as they get an problem resolved that is keeping us from doing the editing ourselves.  Hope to have that done very soon.

God has blessed this year, we have been so blessed with good attendance at most of the meetings.  The outdoor, tent meetings, and parking lot services have been very well attended.  We have done some Facebook Live stuff, but to be honest, not sure if we really understand all of that yet!  Like the old saying, "Sometimes it is hard to teach old dogs a new trick"! LOL!!

We just want to thank everyone that keeps up with us on the web site, Face book, texts and phone calls.  Feel free to call at anytime, we love hearing from you and knowing how you are doing!

We hope to get our web site updated soon, so until then, may the Lord bless each of you, and praying for our nation like we have never prayed before!  PLEASE DEAR GOD, HEAL OUR NATION AND ONCE AGAIN, BLESS THE USA!!

Steve

Good Morning Friends!

We want you to know Mary and I are praying for all our family and friends during this time of much difficulty and uncertainty!  Our prayers are for each of us to dwell upon God and His Son Jesus Christ, take time to reflect upon how we can use this to help others in need of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We thank you for all you have done for us, the prayers, support, the opportunities that have been give to us by so many, means so very much.  As we go though these days, let us think on the blessings in these times.

SEVEN POSSIBLE BLESSINGS FROM THE CORONAVIRUS
The Bible tells us:  Ro 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
I realize most people right now are thinking how in the world can anything good come of this horrible sickness and death that is happening in our nation?   Our prayer to Almighty God and His Son Jesus Christ, is thanking Him for this:

1.  Thousands of Babies will be born instead of being killed as abortion is put on hold.

2.    Thousands of lives will be saved because drunks will not be leaving bars and night        clubs, driving home under the influence of liquor.

3.    The God of Sports has been stopped in its track.

4.    Millions of dollars will be available to families because they cannot go to gambling casinos.

5.    Families will find time to sit around the dinner table again instead of going out to restaurants and spending money they do not have.

6.    Many moms and dads will find the lost art of cooking meals for their families, and time to bond with each other as traveling is discouraged.

7.    Christians will find that less activities in the outside world is giving them more time to pray and study God’s Word.  Praying God’s people will find that obedience is better than sacrifice.
As the old saying goes, I do not know what the future holds, but we know who holds the future. We know "Jesus is the Answer for the World Today".

Dear Family and Friends of SCM,

The Bible says in  Pr 29:18,  Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Mary and I have a vision, to use our place as a drive thru Sunrise Service on Easter Sunday, April 12th.   Below is the information.   WE REALIZE MANY WHO READ THIS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND, BUT WE ASK THAT YOU PRAY FOR US AS WE PRAY, PLAN AND PROMOTE THIS EVENT!  Thank you!

DRIVE THRU SUNRISE SERVICE, APRIL 12th.

Mary and I are making our place available on April 12th, for a Sunrise Service!   We understand in the coming days, there can be many changes in the way we can do things. So plans may change.
This will be a Drive Thru Service, in which all coming will remain in their vehicle.   The event will be short, but prayerful a powerful and moving time as we remember the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ! Our plan is to have a FM transmitter to broadcast the service to FM radios in the cars.

Most likely, we will plan on opening the gate to our place at 6:30 AM, April 12th.   The road in will be one way, making a circle, until we finish the service, then it will be one way out.   Our plan is to have everyone parked by 6:45 AM, and the service will start at that time,  and end at 7:00 AM.   The sun rise is at 6:50 AM.   Again, people will stay in their car, and we will be set up with a sound system that should enable everyone to hear.   Hopefully,  the ban on the number of people gathered will be lifted by that time, and if so, we will have chairs set up for those that would like to get out of their cars.  If that comes to pass, for those who wish to leave their car, we will have a parking place for them that will not hinder those who will be driving in and out.  We also plan to have free hot coco and coffee available for anyone that would like to have it.  It will be delivered to your car.  Handling will be done in compliance with rules for doing so.  All caution will be observed to limit any close contact with those attending.

We know that 6:30 AM is early and difficult for many, but we just ask you to remember what Jesus has done for us, and be willing to make that effort to do something in honor to Him!  Lord willing the weather will be good, the sunrise beautiful, and as we sing, pray and read God's Word, He will speak to each of our hearts, giving us comfort, wisdom and some understanding as we go though these difficult times!   May God bless each of you!

Thank you for your prayers and may the Lord bless in all you do for Him!
